ANI-F
Automatic Number Identification

ADVANTAGES
· Identifies radio callers
& system abusers
· Smallest ANI module
in the industry
· Cost-effective
· 3 year warranty
FEATURES
· Available formats

GE-Star®, DTMF,
five-tone & two-tone
· Time-out timer &
penalty timer
· Emergency ANI
· Programmable key-up
delay
· Programmable via
Midian's KL-3
Programmer |
DESCRIPTION
Midian Electronics' Automatic Number Identification (ANI) products enable the
dispatcher or system administrator to monitor fleet communications and to
identify and stop system abusers. When the user keys up their radio the ANI
module transmits a tone sequence or a digital packet. This sequence or packet
can then be displayed on Midian's CAD, DDU, ADD and TRC series display
decoders.
Midian's Automatic Number Identification modules also offer
Emergency ANI that can be hooked to a switch on the radio or a mercury tilt
switch. When the switch is activated the ANI module will send a sequence with an
emergency status digit attached. The display decoder will then show an alarm
indication for that unit.
The ANI products also offer features such as
key-up delay, time-out timer and penalty timer. The key-up delay holds the ANI
sequence from being sent for a preprogrammed period of time to allow CTCSS to go
out and raise the repeater. The time-out timer feature stops someone from
talking too long and tying up the channel or eliminates stuck-mic conditions.
The penalty timer prevents someone from keying up again for a predetermined
period of time after the user has timed out.
The ANI-F can be flashed
into any of the following formats: Motorola's MDC-1200®, Kenwood's FleetSync,
Harris' G-Star (aka GE-Star), DTMF, 5-Tone (all formats), or 2-Tone (all
formats).
APPLICATIONS
Automatic Number Identification products provide fleet management features that
are beneficial to any radio fleet. This includes fleets such as taxi, towing and
public safety.
INSTALLATION
Midian Electronics offers the smallest ANI products in the industry. Due to
their small size, they can be installed into most any radio. Midian also offers
plug-in ANI modules for many current OEM radios.

CAD Option B
Serial to Ethernet Adaptor

|
ADVANTAGES
· Allows Midian's CAD
modems to be
networked
· Alias database
FEATURES
· Comes with
CADNet Jr software
· Ethernet connection |
DESCRIPTION
Midian's CAD Option B works with Midian's CAD-100, CAD-200, CAD-400, CAD-500,
CAD-600 and CAD-MF to decode and display ANI and Emergency ANI. However, rather
than the standard serial or USB interface the CAD Option B offers an Ethernet
interface for networking the CAD modem. Currently this restricts the CAD
products to decode only. When using the CAD Option B the CADNet Jr software is
used instead of the regular CAD program.
APPLICATIONS
The CAD Option B is used in applications where the CAD modem needs to connect to
a network rather than directly to a single PC.
INSTALLATION
The CAD Option B serial to Ethernet adaptor connects between the CAD modem and
the network.
